The Median Fund is a uniquely South African fund manager, focused

Launched in October 2005,
Median is the concrete expression of our passion for small enterprise
and the entrepreneurial spirit. We believe in small business and we
believe in the profits that small business can generate – given
the necessary support and resources.
Our investors share our passion for this under-serviced sector –
and put their money at our disposal to prove it. This approach to
SME financing is a radical departure from more traditional financial
models. We require no collateral. We charge no interest. We offer
capital – expecting significant returns – but without
the need for repayment. In short, we combine venture capital risks
and returns with equity investments at a deal size unheard of in the
South African market.
